We operate an appointment system for face to face GP and nursing consultations. We ensure that patients can obtain an appointment in advance or on the same day if the medical need is urgent. If a same day appointment is required, we would ask patients to telephone or call at the surgery as early in the day as possible to obtain an appointment with the doctor. If a surgery is fully booked, the GP will triage the appointment via telephone call directly to the patient. 

We also offer telephone consultations with a GP in advance or on the same day if the medical need is urgent. Again, please call the surgery early in the same for a same day telephone consultation. We will offer these appointments until capacity has been filled.

If you need help when we are closed

When the surgery closed, emergency cover is provided by Dalriada Urgent Care, a local co-operative manned by local, experienced general practitioners. To contact this service please ring: 028 25 663500.

Please tell us:

• If there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond. We will try to meet this need where possible
• If you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone or face-to-face
• If you need an interpreter
• If you have any other access or communication needs

Home Visits

Requests for non-urgent home visits should be made as early in the day as possible by telephoning the surgery and giving details to the receptionist. Urgent requests for visits can be made by telephoning the surgery.

We have a texting service which allows you to send information to the GP practice.

To avail of this service you will need to request a text from a receptionist to allow you to respond with information.

Our Practice is a training practice for the purpose of the Medical Practitioners Vocational Training regulations. This means that on occasions we may have another doctor, who is fully qualified but training for General Practice, working in the practice for either six or twelve months.
